That depends on how she reacts to knowing what you’re doing. Some will play along but most wont. To me, if she’s selling shoes with noticeable wear. She probably has the intelligence of knowing what you’re wanting them for. If I’m reading your post correctly, you’ve already asked her. What was her response? If not, Maybe tell her thanks for the purchase you made and that they’re almost perfect. If she reply’s ask her if she has others to sell and comment that if the condition is well loved. You would be VERY interested. It’s a slippery slope! Great find though on these.

I just bought some old sperrys off a girl on letgo. She's a waitress and used to wear them to work. She asked why I would want them....I told her and she charged me 5 bucks for them
