For the 4th I thought a BBQ would be fun, so fire up the pit and get the meat ready.



Then cover the pit and let er smoke



After a couple of hours its ready



I think I let them cook too long

The soles may be melted a little, but these babies look like real leather! That leather cooked and shriveled. Leather constricts in extreme heat. Although this leather shriveled, I have seen some leather actually melt! It just turns to a bubbly ooze then hardens into a weird looking crust. I loved this photo shoot! I love crumpled leather and curled soles.
