Hi, I’m into female sneakers, especially the well worn ones, possibly trashed. Reebok freestyles are by far my favorites, I’ve some pairs in different stages of wear, from new to completely destroyed. Now I’ve just got a black pair in used conditions, pretty worn. I already started customizing them, by removing the plastic shells from the backs (which make them so soft …) and by cutting the stitching which hold the tongues in place. Now the tongues are kept in their place just by the laces … except when I want to wear them really loose and I remove the laces … and the tongues as well! It’s so hot to feel those reeboks staying on feet just thanks to the velcro straps … which I try to fasten as loose as possible. By the way, the right sneak has just one strap (I cut off the other one …), whilst one of the straps of the left one is quite unusable, as leather is separating from the velcro. Wearing them in these conditions already turns me on … but now I want to go further and make them more exciting. But here I would ask your help: what I’m looking for is some creative, unusual way to wear them … not just with the laces loosened and the straps undone ... my desire is to make no longer possible to wear them totally laced-up, and leave just the minimum necessary (either straps or eyelets) in order to leave them still wearable. In order to make it more interesting, I would like to modify the two shoes in a different way … for instance leaving just the straps on one and just the eyelets on the other, but I’m not that sure about how to proceed … How many eyelets per each shoe do you think should be saved in order to have the possibility to wear them extremely loose but without loosing them at each step? What should I do to the “useless” eyelets … and how to identify the right ones to save for lacing? What about the straps?
On the other hand I’m thinking also that I would really like to have some rips / holes in these reeboks … but I’m really uncertain on where to start and how to proceed (sandpaper? knifes? cutters? what else could I use?) … should I cut a hole in correspondence of a big toe or rather should I “help” in some way the leather uppers in separating from the soles somewhere … how should look in your opinion the most exciting ever rip / hole in a pair of reebok freestyles? A rip / hole able to really make you horny at its sight.

What you could do is turn one into a high top ballet flat type shoe. Cut the leather below the eyelets so that it's just smooth leather without the eyelets. Then it will be held on by the straps only and be like those ballet flats that are all the rage now.

The other you could cut the straps off and do the same thing to except leave the top set of eyelets and tie the shoe on there.

I'm not really into the unintentional trashing - I like the Freestyles naturally trashed. But you could speed up the process a little with a few strategically placed holes or some sandpaper.

You could also cut the sole out of the back and make it look like a Princess - that would be interesting.

Take lots of pics - I'd love to see the insides and how you got the plastic heel part out.

You'd need to leave at least one eyelet each side to be able to do them up - the top one each side would be best if you wanted to keep them on, or your foot might keep slipping out.

I'm like Sneakerfreek07 - I prefer them "naturally" trashed but I like the idea of helping them along... I've often wondered what would happen if someone tied the laces around a car axle and then drove along with the sneak bouncing along the road beneath the car.

Hi sneakerfreak07, I like the idea of turning one of them into a high top ballet flat type shoe, leaving the straps only!! I too prefer to see the frestyle naturally trashed, but .... I cannot wait to wear this pair totally trashed.

Where would you suggest to place some "strategic" holes in order to give them a naturally worn look? I would like at least a couple of holes per shoe ... where would you make them, how and how big they should be?

As far as the plastic heel part is concerned ... I will try to shot some photos illustrating how to remove it ... It's quite easy and from the outside of the shoe you do not notice anything, but the shoe becomes really soft ...

On the other shoe I could follow Swampthing's idea to leave just one eyelet each side ... just not sure on which one should be saved ...

I like also the idea of dragging the shoe beneath the car ... but I have no idea on how I could secure it in order to be sure not to loose it ...

Please give me some other suggestions before I proceed, I really appreciate your help and it will be a pleasure for me to wear these freestyles trashed as per your indications!! Of course I will post photos!

I apologize for the long wait … but eventually here is an update on a pair of my black reeboks! Truth to tell, I did not work on the pair of which I already posted the pictures in this thread (I’ve not yet found the courage to trash them …), but I attacked another well worn black pair I have. So far I’ve modified the left sneaker, while I’ve not touched the right one, which already received some attentions some months ago.

Here is the left shoe before the treatment.



My fun started untying and removing the shoelace.



Then I cut the seams around the eyelets row on the right side, in order make possible to remove the inner lining on the right part of the shoe. I partially cut off the underlying leather layer as well.



I subsequently “eliminated” the most of the eyelets on the right side by bending inside the leather and gluing it to keep it in place. Just the top and the bottom eyelets of the row were left usable.



At that point, my left freestyle still had too many possibilities of being worn laced up. So, why not ripping off a velcro strap? Since I wear them with the straps unfastened the most of the times, I thought that the straps could go.



Then it was the turn of the tongue and of the other strap, which were both ripped off …



Further I put the tongue in place again, fixing it just with the lace and I laced up passing the lace through the two surviving eyelets and around the ankle, leaving it as loose as possible. I enjoyed very much the feeling of the shoe so precariously laced and the sight of the straps no longer in place.




My excitement kept on growing and I soon felt the desire of having my toes more free to move around in the toebox. So I took a Swiss knife and enlarged a bit the small tear already present on the right side of the toebox. This turned me on at the point that I put my fingers in the enlarged hole and pulled strong the leather, ripping almost all the toebox …. Ahhh, what a feeling of pleasure!







I admit that at that point my poor left freestyle was pretty trashed … but despite this I’ve already had some chances to wear again this pair in public, getting very excited when spotting someone glancing at my trashed shoes. I just take the precaution of wearing them with black nylon socks, in order not to evidence that much the huge rip on the front of the left shoe, which would be immediately noticeable if I wore colored socks.

The last time I wore these reeboks I had one of the most exciting sneaker experiences ever. I was traveling by train, and a student girl who was sat in front of me continued to look at my shoes. After some passengers sitting behind us left the train, she asked me how long I wore those reeboks to make them so trashed, adding that she liked very much the feeling of worn out sneakers, but that it took too long to her to reduce them in that shape. She liked in particular the totally ripped toebox of the left shoe and asked if I ripped it on purpose or if it blew out by itself. I was so thrilled to show her all the modifications I made and we spent some pleasant time talking about sneakers and shoe fetish in general. She declared to be willing to reserve the same treatment of my freestyles to the white with pink stripe Nike wimbledon she had on her feet that day, which already looked well worn. Then she started untying the laces of her shoes, until she left just three couples of eyelets laced up over seven pairs of eyelets per shoe. She hided the rest of the laces within the shoes and said that later in the evening she would have cut huge holes in both the toe boxes! … I felt so horny that I became all wet and remained excited all the rest of the day! I’m still complaining not having had one of that small manicure scissors in my bag that day! So I could just suggest her to begin by cutting small holes where the leather of the toe boxes had already started separating from the rubber sole, and then to rip the rest by pulling the leather with her fingers, in order to give the rips the most natural look possible. Hopefully one day I will see her walking around in her unlaced, holed Nikes.

Back to my reeboks, now it’s time for the right sneaker to receive some major modifications. You can see it in the picture below: Some months ago I already cut all the seams on the upper, in order to be able to completely remove the inner lining. Apart from the rubber sole and the tongue (which I cut too and cleared out of the inner terry-cloth, leaving in place just the external tiny nylon layer with the Reebok tag), the shoe is now made only of soft, extremely well worn leather and is particularly light and roomy to wear. It gives a so special feeling of looseness, especially worn with nylon socks. There’s also a pretty large rip on the external side, which grew naturally.



I will wait for your indications on how to modify it before I proceed! Also some ideas for additional modifications to the left shoe would be welcome … I’m fantasizing of making out of this pair the loosest freestyles I’ve ever worn, modifying them until they remain decently wearable under a casual outfit, ideally with long and large jeans, partially hiding the major damages when I’m walking in public areas (I’m not yet ready to part from them and damage them to the extent I can only throw them away…). In this sense, the highest portions of both shoes could be subject to more radical modifications … any idea?
