Yes you red it correctly! however before i continue please read the warning below if your going to atempt something similar:

Please learn from my mistakes! i thought being 15' away from the 'explosion' would be far enough...boy was i wrong......although i wasnt hurt, you have to remember the blast range can be as much as 30' - 40' so if attempting something like this i surjest you find somewhere where you can duck behind a wall or tree after the fuse is lit etc.....Also i surjest that there be 2 of you 1 to light the fuse and RUN and 1 to film it from a safe distance,i ballsed up one movie (probably the best out of the set) because i was more 'understandably' concerned with the fireworks rather than the filming of the explosion...Just thought i would tell you so if you do try, you'll make a better/safer job of it than me....

nuff of the self righteous and do-gooding crap you wanna see the outcome.....well i'll post the majority of the stuff on Bonfire night (5th November) but here are a few 'appetisers' for you to let you know whats install for ya! forgot to mention 1 pr of thigh high boots and 1 pr of shoes, both brand new 'GOT IT'
Enjoy

you beat me too it!!

very nice!

maybe a rocket or two could be pushed hard into the ground so it doesn't take off and a pair of high heels could be left by accident under it..........

theres a thought

Thanks for the warning.

If you want to film everything you'd better use a tripod for your camera, or at least a steady footing. You're bound to get a shock reaction from the explosion if you hold a camera in your hands and it always gives a disappointing picture. In other words, the resulting footage will be a blur... And see that you don't disturb someone else. Right here it's illegal to toy with fireworks anyway. It's only legal during the change-over of the year. Don't give anyone a reason to call the law.

My two cents.

Forgot to comment on the pics. ;)

Great results! But next time could you also do some "before" shots?

Also thanks for posting the pics with links and not the pics themself. (I hate horizontal scrolling, but thats personal. ;) )

I see I'm not the only who blows up heels for fun :D.

it's nice too see someone put up a warning, I was about too say what your warning says.

I have been blowing heels in my spare time, and burning them for something too do. My fiance finds it quite amusing as when I do blow up the heels or do the heel burning, I dress up a manakin, and tie too a post blindfolded with a cigarette in it's mouth. for the exploding, this is done with 3 sticks on dynamite attached too it's knees. I'll have to make some photos one day, it's quite amusing too watch, nice fire ball too :)

Its well documented that I'm not a big fan of Yahoo groups, but surly your rant should be aimed at the moderators of that group?
