Taking Candid Snaps - tips?
Was just wondering if any of the candid snappers here had tips for new starters?
What phone app/software is best to use?
How is best to stay discrete?
How do you get the best angles?
Do you have a method for getting the best shots?
I'll follow some of your tips and then show you what I can snap

Re: Taking Candid Snaps - tips?
Well, at first I didn't know any "techniques" and I would pop a boner every time I tried to take a pic and my hands would shake. But I've been doing it for a long time now, and now I can take a pic in almost every situation with no difficulties. For starters, I usually take pics by "resting" my hand with my mobile phone, in kind of a hanging position, from my jeans pocket, and just pressing the TAKE A PIC button on the side of my mobile phone. But 1 girl was VERY VERY VERY FUCKING HOT and she was standing besides me in a public bus, and the only way I could film her feet was too obvious, but her feet/heels were too hot, so I did it anyway and I think she kinda got the idea what was going on, and instead of moving away, she did some shoeplay , and some older people looked at me suspiciously when they walked by, but nobody said anything.
Sorry for long post and bad English. This topic should be interesting, I would like to read how other guys take candid pics. Good luck!

Mmm, good start to the thread.
I usually have opportunities, but I find it hard getting close enough without raising suspicion.
Anyone else got any method they use?

Re: Taking Candid Snaps - tips?
I've just started using my mobile and it's much more difficult than using a hidden video camera. I'm trying an app 'mobile hidden camera' which blanks the screen, tapping the screen takes pix, when you exit you go back to main screen (not an image or photo album). Totally discreet but you have to guess at what you're shooting! Useful where there are lots of people though. Worth a try.

I have a Sony Xperia X10. It's an old phone but it has a good camera. It's an Android phone and I bought an app called SECuRET Spy Cam. It's discreet. It can blank the screen or put up a web page while it silently takes repeated pictures at an interval you can specify. It can also take videos but I'm more into pics. I usually have it on the fake webpage and I hold the phone in front of me at the proper angle to get their shoes and I'll "scroll" the screen with my thumb as if I'm doing something.

Re: Taking Candid Snaps - tips?
For my iPhone I have the app "Fast Camera." It's free so no worries about paying for it. What the app does is it takes multiple pics at very quick intervals (you cant choose the intervals) As soon as the app opens it just starts taking pics until you hit the Stop button. Later on you look them over and delete the ones you dont want. For my screen I just put my brightness to the darkest it can go so its very hard for people to see my screen unless they are right beside me. The only downfall I have with this app is I cannot zoom in but I am able to get some good pics depending on the area I am in. Worth a try to start getting use to it!

For mobile, I like Cam-U-Flage and I'm Just Browsing.
Cam-U-Flage blanks screen, tap screen to snap (or volume buttons to snap). Just browsing is a working web browser as the screen with configurable opacity mini camera viewfinder. I use the former when on the move and the latter when staying still such as a lunchroom or restaurant. Both have picture and video support.
Also look into hidden cams on ebay. They have lighter spy-cams, pen-cams, button-cams, keychain-cams, etc... very useful.
