I understand where you're coming from; I posted this
viewtopic.php?f=17&t=24873#p134521 which I thought was very nice. I waited a week and... nothing. It's a bummer when you feel you have a great capture and get no response.
That said, I think a lot of us connoisseurs are a little bit jaded... we've looked at so much material that unless something really blows us away we tend not to comment. It doesn't mean people don't appreciate your work (I particularly like the woman in front of the filing cabinet on one tip toe), it's more that their approval/recognition is implied by the fact that they've looked at it at all, i.e. the view count.
My point is that we shouldn't get discouraged if we don't all get gold stars for every effort; anything that reflects the photographer's sincerity and passion for the subject matter will
not go unappreciated.
I invite you to comment on my own candids (in the previous link) and look forward to seeing more of your work. Thanks for sharing and again, welcome to the forum!
